Is it legal to buy large perfume bottles and split it up into sample sizes for resale on ebay?

Can you do this legally??Is it legal to buy large perfume bottles and split it up into sample sizes for resale on ebay?
i think it used to be. but a while back i bought one and the seller told me it was the last time because a rule just changed. now it has to be those small sample sizes. i think.

edit: actually i found a link to this.Is it legal to buy large perfume bottles and split it up into sample sizes for resale on ebay?
Of course you can do this legally.

As long as you legally purchased the perfumes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with splitting it up.

The only thing that I would watch out for is the way you describe the product on eBay. If people are not satisfied with the product, they will leave negative feedback and you won't sell as much. Make sure your description is as accurate and honest as possible.

It's fine to make money off of people who don't want the whole bottle. It's not fine to trick people into thinking they're buying something they're not, so just be careful!

Good luck!
It sounds like a bad idea to me. If you aren't a recognized distributor of the brand, the company can come after you. There is a difference between selling one bottle of perfume that you bought and making a business distributing a product.
You bought it legally, you can do what you wish. If you buy a shirt from the store, nothing can stop you from ripping it up and using the material to make something else.
that's called copyright infringement. You can probably get away with it for a while, but you're making a profit on something that's been copyrighted or trademarked.
Yes. As long as the perfume you buy is legal.
Yes, but remember those bottles that say: Not For Resale?
that is such a good idea! haa
